June 13, 2007 In an effort to deal with Oregon's lack of rendering capacity, 12 participating members of the Oregon Solutions Team have signed a Declaration of Cooperation formalizing each team member's commitment to the issue. The collaborative approach involving a number of state agencies and industry representatives is being hailed as Oregon's best chance of finding an economically viable, environmentally safe, and socially acceptable option for processing dead animals and other organic residues into marketable products.
