| 2000 Activities Summary |
|
The Oregon Hanford Waste (now called the Hanford Cleanup Board) Board met three times in 2000. It welcomed new board members, Larry Clucas, Jill Eiland, Paige Knight and Eric Nisley, and said good-bye to longtime member Dr. Richard Belsey, former Chair Patty Yraguen, former Vice Chair Mary Shaver and Mark Barnes. It heard presentations on recurrent Hanford cleanup issues such as the tank waste treatment project and the Fast Flux Test Facility as well as emerging issues such as cleanup standards for the Hanford Reach National Monument.
The board produced fourteen letters to the U.S. Department of Energy, Washington Department of Ecology and other federal and state entities associated with Hanford cleanup. Meeting summaries, agendas and minutes are available at the links below.
