Payment In Lieu Grant Program
Wetland Grant Program
 
The Wetland Mitigation Revolving Fund was established to accept payments to compensate for small wetland impacts from permitted activities ("payment in lieu"). The goal of the program is to use these pooled funds for larger projects that provide more effective replacement of wetland resources. 
 
The Department of State Lands is now recruiting wetland projects to be funded through the Payment in Lieu (PIL) program. Applicants may either submit a grant application from another granting agency (for the same project) or follow the instructions in the Proposal Requirements for PIL Projects.
 
As the program grows, DSL will continually make improvements to the application and evaluation process. Feedback about the process and questions about how to apply should be directed to:
