decreasing tribal tobacco use


All nine federally-recognized American Indian tribes in Oregon receive funds to implement tobacco prevention and education programs.

 

Tobacco use among Native Americans is higher than any other population group in the state. These projects are working to decrease tobacco use through a variety of program and policy strategies directed at both youth and adults.
