Cigarette Consumption
Annual per capita cigarette consumption in Oregon has declined approximately 30% since 1996. This means that in 2001, Oregonians smoked 1.5 billion fewer cigarettes than they would without this drop. Oregon's decline in cigarette consumption is steeper than that of the nation.
