Racial & Ethnic Health Task Force Report to the Governor November, 2000
Special Dedication
On October 30, 2000, the Task Force on Racial and Ethnic Health voted to
dedicate their report to the memory of Josiah Hill, III, a community leader
and activist who left this world too soon but whose life made a big
difference for Oregon. His tireless work to end health disparities served as
an inspiration to the people he touched with his healing hands, and a heart
filled with compassion and courage. His spirit lives on.
May his legacy continue in the hearts and minds of Oregonians who work to
end racial and ethnic health disparities. He helped us realize that Oregon
may be that special place where his dream to end health disparities has
become more than a dream and will be achieved.
"Power is not in who or what you know, it is in what you do
with your passion."
