    • BENTON COUNTY - EPIDEMIOLOGIST (half-time) -Benton County Health Department, Corvallis, OR

      This position is responsible for conducting epidemiological and statistical analyses of health status and health services data, and for supporting communication of health department information. Data analysis is conducted to validate and improve Benton County Health Department practices and policies. This position performs essential duties that support the ten essential public health services, including monitoring health status, diagnosing and investigating health problems and health hazards, evaluating the effectiveness, accessibility, and quality of health services, and conducting research for new insights and innovative solutions to health problems.

      Requires a graduate degree in Public Health or two years in doctoral-level course work in public health.

    • LINN COUNTY - SUPERVISING PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE - Linn County Department of Health Services, Albany, OR

      Employees in this classification perform a variety of public health nursing duties, participating actively in and representing public health nursing in planning groups at the state and local level; provides highly skilled professional nursing in the designated area of specialty; i.e., reproductive health services. This position is responsible for timely and accurate program reporting/accountability to state programs and other funding organizations. Assures that program staff and program-related partners plan and work collaboratively toward defined goals, objectives and grant specifications. Employees in this classification supervise employees in the Nurse practitioner, Public Health Nurse, Medical Assistant classifications, and others, such as interns and volunteers may be assigned.They oversee the day to day operation of clinical and field services in Reproductive Health Services. This involves program planning, the ability to write the plans and supervision for the family planning, Breast and Cervical Cancer, and sexually transmitted infections programs.

      REQUIREMENTS: Five years of current public health nursing experience and graduation from an approved school of nursing as defined under public health nurse; two years of public health nursing supervisory experience; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the work described. Must be highly organized with advanced skills in balancing competing priorities and have well developed written, verbal and analytic skills.Possession of a license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of Oregon at the time of appointment; Masters degree in Nursing, Public Health, or in a health related field is preferred; possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

      SALARY: $3646-4599/month (37.5 hour week). Linn County offers excellent benefits including health insurance and PERS retirement (County currently paying an average 50% of salary for benefits).

    • LANE COUNTY - COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER PHYSICIAN (Internal Medicine or Family Practice)  - Lane County Health and Human Services, Eugene, OR

      Lane County Health and Human Services is recruiting for an Internal Medicine or Family Practice physician to serve on its established provider team at The Community Health Centers of Lane County, a federally qualified health center (FQHC).  This position will provide comprehensive medical care with emphasis on prevention of disease and promotion of health, examine, treat and advise patients on medical and emotional problems, and make referrals to appropriate social or medical agencies.  Establish a therapeutic relationship with a diversity of patients, including migrants, low-income population groups, and individuals with a variety of mental and emotional difficulties.  This position will also provide primary care services at Lane County Mental Health, a Community Health Center partner, as part of an integrated Primary Care and Behavioral Health team.

      SALARY: $90,792 - $125,923 /annually ( This salary range is currently under review)

    Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a valid State of Oregon license as a Medical Doctor (M.D.).  Eligibility for appointment to the medical staff at local hospitals.  An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.  NOTE: This position is subject to a full criminal offender information record check.  This record check will be paid for by the successful candidate and the expense is non-reimbursable.

    • DESCHUTES COUNTY - REGISTERED HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNICIAN- Deschutes County Health Department, Bend, OR

      Position responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading the daily work associated with medical records operations. Duties include but are not limited to, ensuring availability of records and the appropriate filing of client information; ensuring that information is retained, protected, and released in accordance with Federal, State and County policies and rules governing confidentiality of medical records; and assisting in developing and implementing medical records policies and procedures. Performs other duties as required.

      Requires an Associate's degree in Health Information Technology or equivalent, with two years of experience preferred, and the ability to obtain accreditation through the American Health Information Management Association. See announcement for additional details.

    • UNION COUNTY - PUBLIC HEALTH ADMINISTRATOR - Center for Human Development, La Grande, OR

      The Public Health Administrator directs administration of the Union County Health Department within authority of governing board by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff. Acts as an agent of the Health Division in enforcing state public health laws and rule of the Health Division. The Public Health Administrator is also responsible for the development of programs and projects within the organization and the community to enhance the delivery of public health services to our community. Essential functions: Develops or expands programs or services for community health and welfare promotion. Directs and coordinates activities of public health programs. Oversees the development of policies and procedures for various public health activities. Represents agency at community meetings and promotes programs through various news media. Ensures consistent application of the Oregon Administrative Rules. Familiarity with current standards of care and best practices for the provision of public health services. Performs such other duties as may be required by law. Participates in community and regional collaborations and coalitions promoting health.

      Master's degree in nursing, public health, social work, or other health related field. Ability to oversee a community health program.

    • DOUGLAS COUNTY - COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE 2 - Douglas County Community Health Division, Roseburg, OR

      This public health nursing position works within the Field Staff Unit. This position works in an assigned geographic location in providing Maternal Child Health Home Visiting services; provides maternity case management, prenatal coordination, education and referral then typically follows an infant and child development through age 3; provides child development screening and assessment of current immunization status, status, education, information and referral to necessary community resources.

      Must possess, at time of appointment, a valid Oregon Registered Nurse License, and an Oregon Driver's License. Preference will be given for a Bachelor's degree in nursing with coursework emphasis in public health and one-year progressively responsible work experience in a public health setting.

    • DOUGLAS COUNTY - WOMEN'S HEALTH CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER, FAMILY PLANNING - Part-time (20-32 hours/week) - Douglas County Community Health Division, Roseburg, OR

      This position will be responsible for performing specialized nursing care for Family Planning clients in the main free-standing clinics operated by the County in Roseburg, Reedsport, Drain and Canyonville. The purpose of this position is to expand Family Planning in other outlying communities, and to reduce the unwanted pregnancy rate.

      Current Oregon registered Nurse License and current Oregon Nurse Practitioner License with work-related experience in a public health care setting. At time of appointment, must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license.

      SALARY: $24.68 - $32.58 per hour, plus eligibility for benefits on a pro-rated basis.

    • LINCOLN COUNTY - FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER - Lincoln County Human Services Department, Newport, OR

      Provides primary medical care services including assessment, diagnosis and treatment to patients of the Health Center. Provides holistic primary medical care for families and clients across the lifespan. Emaphasizes health promotion and disease prevention. Manages acute and chronic diseases in accordance with accepted medical standards and within the scope of practice.

      One year of experience as nurse practitioner, preferably in community health or behavioral health. Possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon, certification as a nurse practitioner. Possess a DEA number. Valid Oregon Driver's License with good driving record.

    • MULTNOMAH COUNTY - COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE - Multnomah County Health Department, Portland, OR

      Community Health Nurses function as members of health teams promoting good health practices, coordinating existing health resources and providing high-quality services in a clinic setting, in a correctional facility (either adult or juvenile), or in the field. Major direct services programs include communicable disease control, child health services, maternity services, family planning, and adult health services. Community Health Nurses work with diverse clients from a variety of backgrounds in person and/or by telephone. Bilingual and bicultural candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The ability to speak, read and understand languages other than English, such as Spanish, Vietnamese and Russian is desired for some assignments.

      Qualified candidates may meet the minimum qualifications in one of the following ways:
      1. Bachelor's degree in nursing, or
      2. Associate's degree in nursing and two years of registered nurse level experience, or
      3. Associate's degree in nursing and two years of community/public health experience demonstrating the ability to work with diverse populations.
      Licensure: Possession of an appropriate and valid registered nurse license issued by the State of Oregon at the time of application. Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate and valid driver's license may be required for some assignments. Other: Positions working in any corrections health facilities require the ability to pass a security check prior to hire.

      SALARY RANGE: $23.15 - $30.63 hourly ($48,337.20 - $63,955.44 annually)
