Certificate of Provider Performed Microscopy Procedures (PPMP)

In PPMP laboratories the PPMP tests may only be performed by a physician, dentist,  podiatrist or a physician's assistant licensed by the Board of Medical Examiners for the State of Oregon; or a nurse practitioner licensed and certified by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. When PPMP tests are performed by other personnel, the laboratory becomes moderate complexity.

     A laboratory that performs any test not in the waived or PPMP category will be considered either moderate or high complexity and must meet applicable requirements.
