Asthma and the Flu

Anyone can get the flu. However, people with chronic medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease have a greater risk for developing serious complications. For example, people with asthma may experience asthma attacks while they have the flu.

Flu is currently circulating in Oregon so it is important that people with asthma are immunized when vaccines are available.
