The Oregon Alliance Working for Antibiotic Resistance Education (AWARE) is a statewide coalition promoting the appropriate use of antibiotics in Oregon by educating the public and supporting health care providers in making judicious prescribing decisions. During "Get Smart About Antibiotics Week", we remind all Oregonians to use antibiotics as prescribed and to remember that antibiotics are not effective in treating viral infections such as the common cold or the flu.
