Message to Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB) Interested Parties:
Following is a revised OEBB Board meeting schedule for July 2008. All meeting dates, times, agenda items and locations are subject to change.

Thursday, July 24, 2008 -- CANCELLED

Thursday, July 31, 2008 -- 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., PEBB/OEBB Board Room, Department of Administrative Services, 1225 Ferry St. SE Salem. The Board will convene a public meeting at 8:30 a.m. to receive an update on the administrative rules advisory group, communications and open enrollment preparation and to view a demonstration of the MyOEBB member module. The Board will move to executive session* at or around 11:45 a.m. to receive advice from its Department of Justice counsel relating to the Board’s decision-making authority and to receive an update on pending litigation. The Board will reconvene in a public meeting at approximately 12:45 p.m. to review and discuss various administrative rules and processes including premium collection and reconciliation, enrollment and policy and definitions. The Board will also consider a district request, review comments received from a district representative and receive updates from three Board workgroups. The agenda will be released and posted at a later date.

Parking at the Dept. of Administrative Services:
Limited metered parking is available on Ferry Street, nearby streets and in the surface lot at the corner of Ferry and 13th streets. Full- and half-day permits ($3 or $6) are available for the rooftop only of the Ferry St. parking structure. Permits can be purchased at the Parking Office, 1225 Ferry St SE, 1st floor. The parking structure is located directly across the street from the meeting location.

The Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB) will meet in executive session from approximately 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. to receive advice from its Department of Justice counsel. The executive session is being held pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(f) which allows a governing body to hold an executive session to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection.
Representatives of the news media, OEBB staff and individuals specifically invited to participate are allowed to attend this executive session. Representatives of the news media are specifically directed not to report on any of the deliberations during executive session, except to state the general subject of the session as previously announced. No decision may be made in executive session.
