| Virtual Classroom Preparations |
|
Department of Administrative Services – Human Resource Services Division (DAS/HRSD) is offering some of the Domestic Violence Awareness Part 1 courses via a virtual classroom. A virtual classroom is a learning environment created in a virtual space that replicates an in-classroom environment. Students and instructors participate remotely using personal computers.
The virtual courses are for people in remote locations (i.e. La Grande, Medford, Seaside, etc.). In order to participate in the virtual courses attendees need to make sure they are set up before the day of the class.

| Logging In |
|
On the day of the class you will need to log into iLinc at https://dhsnetlink.hr.state.or.us/iLinc/default.asp.
You can login anytime between 1 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. The class will begin promptly at 1:30 p.m.

| Computer System Requirements |
|
The virtual classroom is conducted over the internet and uses voice over internet protocol (VOIP), which allows the instructor and students to communicate via a headset with a microphone.
The computer you use to attend the virtual classroom needs to have an internet connection with a sound card.

| Audio Requirements |
|
In order to participate in the virtual classroom you will need either a headset with a microphone OR a microphone with speakers. A headset with a microphone is necessary in order to participate in the virtual classroom from your desk or a computer lab station. A boundary microphone and speakers is necessary if you want to have the session in a group setting.
The following recommended headset and microphone are available via statewide price agreements. Please work with your purchasing staff to order them.

To order the Boundary Microphone you need to e-mail Jim Chatfield (jimchatfield@officemax.com) at Office Max. There is no order number. To order, you must have an OfficeMax PIN, an account#, and a consignee #. Payment may be made via a procurement card or SPOTS card. You must send the card # as well as the expiration date. Cost is $44.45.

| Audio Test |
|
In order to perform the Audio test your computer must have a sound card and you must have a headset with a microphone (please see above).
The Audio test will examine the basic compatibility of the computer's browser, cookie settings, screen resolution and color depth.
